During his convalescence at the asylum in Saint-Rémy, Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853-1890) decided to paint a series devoted to cypress trees. Wheat Field with Cypresses (1889), housed at The Met and reproduced on this comfy hooded sweatshirt, is among his exuberant compositions featuring the towering evergreens.
